" This year I learned the following terms and i applied them as i read some pretty great stuff:
Allusion: Is a reference that the authors makes in a story for the reader to understand better the future.
Plot: The main event of the story and movie.
Theme: The background of a story
Diction: A word that a author uses to send out a message to the reader
Syntax: The way the author creates a well-formed sentence
Indirect characterization: When a character personality is being revealed through a speech or action.
Direct characterization: This is the opposite of indirect because the author gives out details about the character like their appearance or attitude.
Static character: This when a character doesn't change throughout the story.
Dynamic character: Is when a character changes his/her attitude or personality.
Symbolism: Something that represents more than what it seems to.
Synecdoche: Something that means something else.
